Cycling around the scenery of Nanki Kumano Geopark

Kii Peninsula is Japan's largest peninsula, Nanki Kumano Geopark contains 107 geosites spread across the southern part of the Kii Peninsula, including many strangely shaped rocks, traces of the Kumano caldera, valleys, and waterfalls. Tour the area by bicycle to experience the ups and downs of the landscape while enjoying spectacular scenery created by time and nature.

Courses that both beginners and advanced riders can enjoy

In the Shirahama-Susami area, you can enjoy geosites such as “Sandanbeki,” “Senjojiki,” and “Engetsuto,” as well as the “Saki no Yu” hot springs. There are also courses that go a little further, following the spectacular scenery along the coast, including the “Shihara Coast,” “Kurosaki,” and “Koibitomisaki.” We also recommend the route that passes through “Shionomisaki,” the southernmost point of Honshu, where you can enjoy both ocean and mountain scenery such as  “The  Hashigui-iwa Rocks” and  “The  Ichimai-iwa of Kozagawa River.”
