Details

The Kogumotori-goe and Ogumotori-goe passes on the Kumano Kodo connect the Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine and Kumano Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site registered as “Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range.” The Kogumotori-goe Pass climbs mountains of sedimentary rock, and is slightly less difficult than Ogumotori-goe Pass, which climbs steeper igneous rock.
