Details

This is a rocky mountain with two summits called Odake (376m) and Medake (369m). On the trekking course, rocks created by the massive volcanic activity in Nanki-Kumano about 15 million years ago can be seen. In addition to the unique rock formations, you can also see the plant Kii-joro-hototogisu (Tricyrtis macranthopsis), which is endemic to the southern Kii Peninsula, and has beautiful lily-like flowers that droop from its branches.
