Details
Arafune Coast spans about 6 km of coastline facing the Pacific Ocean, extending to the edge of the Uragami Peninsula. Along the coast, mudstone and sandstone strata can be seen, and in some places the strata have risen vertically due to the effects of tectonic movements. There are also caves of various sizes created by wave erosion. On the inland side of the Arafune Coast there is a commercial rocket launch site.
