Shigarami-iso Rocky Beach

The stripes of alternately layered strata of sandstone and mudstone of the Tanabe upper strata are striking. You can observe the feature of the stratum that was formed in the shallow sea by the sediments of sand carried by tides and waves. Trace fossils are also found in this area.
