The strata made of mudstone and sandstone layered alternately are called “turbidites” which are made of sediments on a fan-shaped ocean trench. In the lower layer of the strata, you can see traces (sole marks) of the turbulent flow that carried the sand and mud. The Wabuka Coast is a perfect spot for accretionary prism strata observation.
