Inobuta (Wild Boar-Pig Hybrid)
Inobuta, a distinctive hybrid developed in 1970 in Susami Town, arises from crossing either a Duroc or Berkshire sow with a wild boar, producing first and second-generation hybrids with subtly different flavors.
Inobuta meat is tender, lacks gaminess, and retains the robust taste typical of wild boar, making it ideal for diverse culinary applications, from sukiyaki and mizuni (hot pots) to barbecue and juicy steaks.
