Mikusa-zaki Point
見草崎/Mikusa-zaki
- Yoshino-Kumano National Park
Details
These are strata formed by the accumulation of sandstone, mudstone, and conglomerate. These strata have patterns created by ordinary waves and large typhoon waves, so it can be concluded that these strata were formed in shallow seas, where they were easily affected by wave changes. Fossils of whales, crabs, and shells have been found here.
