Details
Strata that were formed by sand and mud that accumulated in the shallow sea and became rock are visible here. In the strata, there are fossilized remains of stripes created by the waves and tunnels of organisms that lived underground on the seafloor. There was a major landslide at Shigarami-iso in 2020, so please do not approach this site.
