Details
This is a tsunami monument for the Showa Tonankai Earthquake (1944, magnitude 7.9) that stands next to the torii gate on the west side of the Tenma Shrine precinct. The earthquake claimed as many as 10 people in the Tenma area, so local people built the monument in 1950.
