Details
This coast has traces of the significant ancient volcanic activity in Nanki-Kumano. Regular arrays of cracks which formed as magma cooled and contracted are visible, alongside rocks created when magma intruded into seabed sediments and mixed with mud. Additional patterns formed by the solidification of moving magma are also evident.
