Details
As the name “floating island” implies, the entire forest, which looks like an island, floats in the swamp. Its foundation is peat, accumulated plant remains that are decomposed incompletely. It is said that the island once moved with the wind, but due to the influx of sediment it does not move now. Visitors can walk through the forest on the floating island. More than 130 species of plants exist here.
