Alternation of sandstone and mudstone with a lot of ratio of the mudstone of Kumano Group is distributed. Alternation of Sandstone and mudstone by which sandstone and mudstone piled up alternately is called “Turbidaite” by the stratum accumulated in an alluvial fan in a trench. The trace (sole mark) which indicates the direction of the turbulent flow (turbidity current) which carried sand and mud to an underside of a stratum is seen. Wabuka Coast is a spot ideal for stratum observation of the accretionary prism out of which a foundation is formed in Kii Peninsula.
